What patient information does Healthinote offer?

Healthinote has a bank of validated, clinically-led patient information from over 40 trusted sources. The platform’s content totals almost 5,000 pieces of clinically-led content, including 1,000 2D and 3D videos, as well as immersive and interactive content.

Healthinote’s content sources currently include:

  • The NHS Health A to Z and medication library

  • Charity partners, including Macmillan, Cancer Research UK, Asthma UK, British Pregnancy Advisory Service, Royal National Institute of Blind People and many more

  • HCI’s library of Health and Care videos, which has been commissioned by NHSX

  • Cognitant Group’s visual and interactive content, with all content created by medical writers followed by a stringent clinical review process


How can Healthinote support the delivery of care?

Healthinote works to improve the care doctors can give to patients remotely and outside of consultation time. With 43% of people finding current health information difficult to understand, the visual and clear content that Healthinote provides will be vital as we move to more ‘digital’ and ‘remote’ care.


How does Healthinote’s search engine for trusted health information work?

Where can I find the Healthinote search bar?

When writing a response to your patient in the messaging tool, you can search through reliable, validated health information in the bar where you see the Healthinote logo.

This screenshot also shows you what the message to the patient would look like. The link sent to the patient is a shortened link so that it can be sent via email or SMS, but it is also sent with context about what the patient should do with that link.


What patients see

When patients follow the Healthinote link in your post-consult message, they will see their information prescription laid out, with all the links you have sent them.

Patients are able to register to create an account so that they can revisit these links at any time, as well as search for other self-help content. By introducing them to Healthinote, you also introduce them to a range of other rich, self-help content.


FAQs

How many Healthinote links can I send in each message?

You can insert as many items as you like into the message. These will appear as links that the patient can access when they open the message on their phone or computer. Once inserted you can send the message.

Will the health information that I share be saved to the patient records?

Yes, the information that you send to the patient will be recorded in the patient’s records.


Can I send recommended health information via text?

Yes, you can copy the link provided just below the Healthinote logo to send via text. The link is short to allow space to write some accompanying text to the patient.

How does Healthinote ensure that all content and its sources are credible and can be trusted?

It is important to Healthinote that all content is reliable, accurate and up-to-date. There are a number of quality assurance processes in place depending on the type of content in question.

For example, Healthinote only hosts ORCHA approved apps that have been through rigorous assessment for their clinical assurance, data privacy and usability. With regards to charity content, only registered charities in good standing who meet initial assessment criteria, are invited to share content on the platform.

Furthermore, Healthinote follows an internal quality assurance process including internal clinical review of partner content links prior to making these available to access on the live Healthinote platform.
