Switching eConsult back on again

This guide should help practices wishing to switch eConsult back on if they have switched it off temporarily

eConsult provides a number of tools to support practices in managing their demand. There can be occasions when your practice is switched off and you want to switch back on again. Please follow and check these steps to switch your practice back on again:

  1. Head to your patient facing unique practice link (this is likely to be located on your practice website) to check if eConsult is actually switched on/off (worth checking if Admin is still switched on too)

  2. Check the Settings Portal to ensure you or the team have not scheduled any closures for that day

3. From the Settings Portal you’re able to access your practice's unique demand management link (see red box)

Once on that URL you can see if there are any clinical or admin caps that could be impacting your practice.

4. Also you can see if someone in the surgery has temporarily closed the platform. You may need to ask permission to switch back on again.
